Who can be accepted into the program?

We accept both male and female players from each division/level. We also welcome applications from college players, with acceptance based on available space.

What’s the difference between an agent and advisor?

A sports agent is a legal representative (hence agent ) for professional sports figures such as
athletes and coaches. They procure and negotiate employment and endorsement contracts for the
athlete or coach they represent. Sports agents are responsible for communications with team owners, managers, and other individuals. Due to the length and complexity of contracts, many sports agents are lawyers or have a background in contract law. Sports agents generally receive between 4% and 10% of the athlete’s playing contract and 10% to 20% of the athlete’s endorsement contract, although these figures vary.

Family Advisor is another term used for agents before an athlete turns professional. Having a sports agent as an amateur athlete is an NCAA violation. These advisors take on the role of agent to Student Athletes, understanding that once the athlete turns professional, he or she will sign a contract with that agent.

WHD Consulting: We are here to inform and educate players and their families on the different options available in the hockey world.  These sessions are meant to inform and be helpful in a specific circumstance.  WHD cannot help make decisions for individuals. These sessions are charged by the minute.

Advising in the P&A membership: Our program’s goal is to create a personalized relationship with each player, provide guidance on their individual hockey journey, assist in team placement annually, act as a liaison with coaches, meticulously review contract specifics, and develop annual strategic plans with defined, incremental objectives.

What makes P&A different from other advisors: Content is individualized for each member based on the evaluation of their game film, assistance with goal-setting, tryout plans, and weekly check-ins with the P&A team.

How do memberships work if we are away or traveling for an extended period of time?

Memberships are still active while you are away.  You will still schedule phone calls and Zooms with Coach Jason. Coach Jason will provide action items to work on that fit within your travel schedule. He has plenty of material a player can use that will still have a significant impact, but take up a minimal amount of time.

Are lessons included with memberships?

Lessons are not included.

Do memberships automatically renew at the end of 12 months?

Memberships do not automatically renew.  If you want to renew, you need to notify Wolfe Hockey, and we will send you another contract.

How do I apply?
